When is Black Friday?
Black Friday 2023 will take place on November 24. Black Friday was traditionally an in-person event on the fourth Friday of November (after Thanksgiving Day). Nowadays, many brands now have online sales starting in mid-November.
Many companies and brands offer special sales during Black Friday, and lightning deals change by the hour. So keep checking back here for up-to-the-minute shoe deals for Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday.
What deals should I expect on shoes for Black Friday?
You can find deals from anywhere from 15% to 80% off on a variety of styles, from knee-high boots and stylish high heels to comfortable shoes like Kiziks and Mini Uggs. Last season and clearance shoes tend to go on deeper discounts, but you can also find current season footwear on sale.
What kind of shoe deals did they have last year?
Companies like DSW, Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom Rack and Walmart had hundreds of shoe deals last year. Many shoppers snagged new boots and shoes for 50% less than retail. The best way to shop for shoes on Black Friday is to know what brands and sizes you want and then search for the best price. It’s easiest to buy from brands you’ve already worn or to view sizing information for the shoes you want. If possible, visit your local retailer or footwear store in person before Black Friday so you can try on the shoes. If not, buy them in a few sizes (I’m an 8.5, but sometimes wear an 8 or a 9)—you can always return the other pair (but make sure to check the return policy).
Stylewise, it's best to have a clear idea of the style of shoes you’re interested in. You’d be surprised how overwhelming it can be to look for basic black boots. And a Google search for “white sneakers” might populate thousands of shoes. Try to streamline your list before the Black Friday sales begin so you don't end up buying shoes that don't fit or work for your lifestyle.
