Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at TIME
At TIME, we believe our people are our greatest strength. An inclusive and diverse team makes our content better, our products better, and our workplace better.
Equity, diversity and inclusion are top priorities in our recruiting and hiring, and committing to an anti-racist workplace is core to our culture. We focus on retaining and attracting amazing talent and developing a workforce that honors collaboration, respect and teamwork based on openness and trust, and that reflects the world we serve. Employee Resource Groups help nurture a culture at TIME that celebrates community among staff and educates allies. Our Mentorship Program encourages employees to expand their networks and develop professionally. TIME’s inaugural Diversity Council helps ensure that equity, diversity and inclusion run through every aspect of our organization to make TIME a welcoming, supportive and safe environment for all.
As an organization, we are also committed to sharing data about TIME’s employee population annually. Information on gender identity and race is voluntarily self-reported by our employees. Here is how our employees have identified as of April 2021.
Supporting Our Team through the Pandemic
TIME is dedicated to the well-being of our workforce and our community. The health and safety of our people worldwide is always top of mind, including throughout the COVID-19 pandemic when our employees have been working from home. As we plan for a phased re-opening of our office spaces, we will continue to follow local developments and health safety guidelines in our various geographic locations. In the meantime, we continue to engage and interview candidates for opportunities primarily via video conference or by phone. We provide a flexible culture and welcome candidates to apply for roles outside of their current location as many of our positions can be based remotely.
