When is Black Friday?
Black Friday is traditionally observed at midnight on the Friday after Thanksgiving. This year, Black Friday starts on November 24. Historically, you would find lines of shoppers wrapped around department stores, full from their turkey dinners and anxiously awaiting the doors to open to rush through the aisles to find the best deals. However, we have come a long way from those days. You can find Black Friday deals as early as November 1st, and they typically run through “Cyber Monday” which is the Monday immediately after Thanksgiving.
What deals should I expect on air fryers?
Kitchen appliances tend to be a popular category of Black Friday deals, and air fryers are no different. You’ll often see simple percentage or dollar discounts on these items, and in some cases, you may find free accessory bundles that come along with the item.
What kind of air fryer deals did they have last year?
There were a variety of air fryer deals in 2022 that ranged from basket-style air fryers with smaller countertop footprints to larger multi-function air fryers (you’ll usually see terms like “8 in 1” or “dual-basket”). Most of these deals offered between $40 off a basic model to up to $200 off a feature-packed air fryer.
How do I find a good deal on air fryers on Black Friday?
You’ll find deals immediately on familiar and popular brands/models like the Ninja Foodi series, Breville, and Instant Pot. I’ll say flat out that many of these brand name air fryers, like the Ninja Foodi series, are impressive and effective appliances and you’ll be very happy with your purchase. But there are plenty of tiers in terms of size, value, affordability, power, and versatility and there’s an air fryer deal to fit whatever your specific needs are.
How to choose the best air fryer for you
Like shopping for Black Friday appliance deals, a little planning can prevent future disappointment. After all, a deal isn’t a deal if it’s something that you won’t be able to use regularly.
Measure first
I recommend being sure that the space on the counter (or cabinet for storage, if you prefer a clear countertop) can fit not only the air fryer, but also has clearance for the basket/door.

Knowing what you are looking for will make the search much easier by allowing you to already filter out or disregard tempting deals on models that aren’t a good fit for you.
Are you mainly interested in oil-free cooking to make some of your favorites like french fries, frozen snacks, or my personal favorite, crispy tofu? You may be better off with a basic “basket style” air fryer (a 6-quart or 8-quart model would suffice). Or are you interested in taking your air frying to the next level by cooking large batches of wings, replacing your toaster oven, cooking a small roast, or maybe even a couple of different foods at the same time? I’d point you towards a “rack-style” model, which has 2-3 horizontal racks that allow you plenty of cooking options. Air fryers are such a popular Black Friday electronics deal that you’ll see discounted models seemingly everywhere. However, while some models can look the same or almost have the same name, there may be slight differences that make it difficult to compare deals.
