Walmart is ringing in the start of the holidays with its Walmart Holiday Deals event in the second week of this month (October 8-13). This event features major markdowns (some up to 60% off, maybe more!) so you can get started on the trifecta of upcoming seasonal shopping events: Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. You can save on holiday home decor, candy, and grocery items online and in-store. Plus, stock up on gifts for family and friends, from babies to your best friends. Markdowns will be found on self-care products (so important as we head into winter), electronics, cookware, fashion, and more.

These deal days begin online and via the app on October 8 at midnight (ET), 12 hours early for members only. If you are a Walmart+ member, you’ll get exclusive early access to the best markdowns, so set your alarm clock, brew a pot of coffee, and enjoy a half day of shopping before the deals are open to everyone.
The event begins online and via the app at noon ET (for non-members). If you prefer to pursue those deals in person, you can start shopping at your local store when its doors open. There are six days to get in on deep savings and discounts, so you can get a head start on holiday shopping before Black Friday and Cyber Monday events in November. The sale ends online October 13 at 11:59 p.m. ET and at closing time in stores.
Anyone can take advantage of these deep discounts during Holiday Deals, but Walmart+ members will benefit from them 12 hours before others. If you want to become a Walmart+ member before the sale, memberships cost $98 a year or pay monthly for $12.95. You can shop the holiday deals ahead of non-member customers, plus the membership also gives you free next-day and two-day shipping, quick and easy (scan-and-go) checkouts, and free deliveries. Sign up online with a 30-day free trial.
Becoming a Walmart+ member will give you a leg up on locating deals before they open to the public during the Holiday Deals sale. Other tips include putting items into your cart that you are interested in buying ahead of the sale and then checking when the sale starts to see if there are markdowns on them. This will save you time from hunting online for what you want during the sale. As always, start shopping early (even if you have to get out of bed before sunrise) to snag the best seasonal deals and others.
