The Cosm chair, by Berlin-based designers at Studio 7.5 for Herman Miller, is the pinnacle of personalization. Among its features are auto-harmonic tilt, which lets the chair instantly adjust to a user’s body and posture—no turning a dial or pulling a lever necessary—and intercept suspension, which molds the chair to the body, removing the gap behind a user’s back and providing spinal support. The flexible frame and woven seat are designed to make you feel weightless. The chair’s leaf arms, which have “Dumbo ears” and are set at an angle that keeps them from getting in the way of a desk, are the first of their kind. The Cosm starts at $895. —Anna Purna Kambhampaty
