Nick Offerman, the more emotive alter ego of mustache aficionado Ron Swanson, can now add another title to his already impressive resume: exercise enthusiast.
Alongside comedian Megan Mullally (who happens to be his wife IRL) and First Lady Michelle Obama, Offerman runs through the many fitness trends that the have cycled through during the past 6 decades since the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition was created. The video was created in collaboration with Funny or Die! and the First Lady’s Let’s Move! initiative to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the council.
Among the most memorable fitness trends Offerman participates in? Wearing a vibrating belt machine from the ’50s, using a Thighmaster while sporting a leotard and legwarmers (and listening to Olivia Newton-John’s “Physical”), and making good use of an ab roller while rocking out to Cher.
