Former ‘N Sync member Joey Fatone is opening a hot dog stand at a mall in Florida.
Fatone’s hot dog stand — aptly named Fat One’s — will launch in Orlando’s Florida Mall starting in August, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
“After years of working on television food shows, I’m excited to open this new venture which is a combination of who I am, where I’m from and where I’ve been,” Fatone said in a statement. The former pop star regularly appears on the Food Network (and has shimmied on Dancing With the Stars).
Fatone, who spent his teenage years in the Orlando area, looks forward to bringing his hot dogs back to his roots. The Florida Mall holds a special place in Fatone’s heart: “Launching Fat One’s at The Florida Mall, where I roamed as a middle school kid, felt like a perfect fit for our first location.”
Potential hot dog flavors include witty names such as “the Gone Hollywood” and “the Boybander.” Fatone did not say what ingredients would top the dogs.
Fatone, who was mocked as “the fat one” during his ‘N Sync years got support from at least one former bandmate, Lance Bass:
