About two dozen Starbucks locations will start selling bacon-wrapped dates, truffle macaroni ‘n’ cheese, beer and wine this week, USA Today reports.
Starbucks customers in the Denver, Miami, Orlando and Northern California areas are expected to see these items on the menu this week, in an expansion that will bring the number of Starbucks locations selling wine and beer to 70. The goal is to offer booze and small plates in about 2,000 of its approximately 12,000 stores nationwide as part of the Seattle-based company’s five-year effort to turn the morning coffee destination into a happy hour spot, according to the newspaper.
If Starbucks can make an elaborate coffee a mainstay of your morning, perhaps bacon-wrapped dates and truffle mac ‘n’ cheese will soon become a pillar of your evening out?
