Remember that impossibly cute little sloth in Ecuador who was spotted clinging to a pole like his life depended on it? Well, we’re happy to report that he has returned home, safe and sound, to the rainforest.
The Transit Commission of Ecuador (CTE) originally found the sloth clinging to a road partition in the province of Los Rios. They then shared several photos of the little guy on Facebook last Friday, including one particularly memorable close-up of him hugging the pole.
On Monday, the CTE shared new photos confirming that the sloth made it home safely to the rainforest:
Fun fact: the Spanish word for sloth is perezoso—which also means “lazy.”
