Hilary Duff’s new TV show Younger is all about escaping your past with a fresh start, but the actress, pop star and newfound Tinder enthusiast isn’t trying to sweep her Disney channel days under the rug. On Monday night Duff reunited with two of her Lizzie McGuire co-stars, Lalaine (who played her best friend Miranda) and Jake Thomas (who played her little brother), though Adam Lamberg (who played Lizzie’s pal Gordo) wasn’t there to complete the reunion.
Proud as she may be of her child star days, Duff told TIME earlier this year that her association with the show, which ran from 2001 to 2004 and launched her career, sometimes made it difficult to get roles as an adult. “In the beginning I definitely dealt with a lot of that,” she said in March. “Even now with certain movie roles, I’ll go and get amazing feedback and won’t always get the role. There’s definitely a stereotype because of my past, starting so young and people growing up with me.”
