Pennsylvania Town Warns Visitors Its Residents Are Packing Heat

1 minute read

A Pennsylvania town is placing signs around its streets to warn visitors that it’s no “gun-free zone.”

“Welcome to Conoy Township. This is not a gun-free zone,” signs posted around the Lancaster County town say, a local Fox affiliate reports. A spate of nearby robberies spurred locals to place the signs as a deterrent against future crimes.

Almost 90% of households in the town of 3,300 people have guns, according to an estimate by the township supervisor, Steve Mohr.

“Don’t take it personal,” says Ken Ebersole of Conoy Township. “Self-defense, protect your property, home invasions, it’s getting out of control.”

Locals plan to place 16 signs around the township.
