Prince’s Paisley Park Museum Opening Delayed Over Zoning Concerns

1 minute read

The opening of Prince’s Paisley Park studio museum has been delayed due to zoning concerns just days before it was scheduled to open to the public.

The Chanhassen City Council voted to postpone the rezoning on Monday night, citing concerns about how the museum would affect pedestrian and road traffic in an already-busy area, the New York Times reports.

On Tuesday, officials from the museum announced temporary passes were made available for visitors to attend on three dates: this Thursday, Saturday, and Oct. 14. Ticket holders for other dates through the 15th have been offered a refund; the status of tickets for the 16th and beyond are to be determined.

A new zoning vote will reportedly take place on or before Dec. 20.
