Sen. Bernie Sanders moved to make former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton the official Democratic nominee by acclamation on Tuesday.

At the end of the roll-call vote at the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday, Sanders made his way over to the Vermont delegation, his home state, to move that Clinton be named the nominee by acclamation.

“I move that the convention suspend the procedural rules. I move that all votes, all votes cast by delegates, be reflected in the official record, and I move that Hillary Clinton be selected as the nominee of the Democratic Party for president of the United States,” Sanders said.
