Tom Hiddleston has racked up some experience playing a spy in his TV series The Night Manager, so some fans are wondering if he might have the chops to be the next James Bond.
Jimmy Kimmel proposed the idea to Hiddleston on Tuesday night, asking whether he thought it was possible. The Thor and Avengers actor responded diplomatically and evasively, saying, “As somebody who grew up with Sean Connery and Roger Moore, when you mention it, there’s a part of me that goes, ‘Really? Are you kidding?'”
“But I feel like who’s going to be the next James Bond is one of the nation’s favorite pub conversations,” he continued. “It’s up there with, like, who’s going to win X-Factor, when is the England national side gonna live up to its full potential, and is Britain going to leave the E.U., and all that sort of thing.”
