An aquarium in the South Korean capital of Seoul says that a female shark ate its male shark Thursday evening in an episode that lasted about 10 ten minutes.
A spokesperson for the COEX aquarium, Oh Tae-youp, told Reuters that the shark tigers — an eight-year-old female and the five-year-old male — had a “territory” dispute: “I think the shark swallowed the whole body, because they usually eat it all when they bite the head part.”
Reuters reports that the aquarium also said the female will “regurgitate” her mate in about a week.
