Champion mixed-martial arts fighter Ronda Rousey will host Saturday Night Live on Jan. 23.
Dubbed “the world’s most dominant female athlete” by Sports Illustrated, the Olympic medalist made headlines in 2015 for being undefeated and bringing new awareness to the sport — until she lost the UFC women’s bantamweight championship title to former boxer Holly Holm. Her memoir My Fight / Your Fight, published last spring, became a New York Times bestseller.
Pop star Selena Gomez will also make her SNL debut during that episode.
SNL returns Jan. 16, with host Adam Driver (Girls, Star Wars: The Force Awakens)
