Recording artist Alex Boye has released an “African tribal cover” of Adele’s latest hit “Hello,” which he performs while dressed like a stormtrooper from Star Wars. It is the musician’s way of paying tribute to two of the most popular topics on the Internet: Adele’s new album 25 and Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the latest film in the popular fantasy franchise, which opens in theaters Dec. 18.
As the London-born singer sums up his music, “I take pop songs and Africanize them.” Other hits that he has covered in the past include: Psy’s “Gangnam Style,” Idina Menzel’s “Let It Go” from the Disney movie Frozen, and “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson, featuring Bruno Mars.
