The Star Wars: The Force Awakens preview for Asian markets has fans excited about new footage unseen in previous trailers.
In the latest version, the character Rey, played by Daisy Ridley, takes center stage, telling BB-8 (seen much more here than in earlier trailers) that she’s waiting for her family, and very nearly getting cut down by Kylo Ren’s lightsaber. Also new: a shot of a good old fashioned Chewbacca roar, and a Kylo Ren quote, “We will fulfill our destiny,” that apparently precedes the one we’ve heard in previous versions: “I will finish what you started.” What could this “we” mean? Who is Rey’s family? And who will survive the new intrigue? Fans can find out when The Force Awakens opens in theaters on Dec. 18.
