Earlier this month, a video went viral showing a little girl in the backseat of the car sobbing when she found out that Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine was married. (His wife is model Behati Prinsloo.)

In a new clip from The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the recording artist brought a pink rose, got down on the floor, and beckoned to the three-year-old girl named Mila. The star picks her up and gives her a hug, but the little girl seems overwhelmed at the prospect of meeting her crush. We can only imagine being on live TV can naturally have that effect on love.

Sitting next to Mia and her mother on the couch, Levine told the host that everyone has been sending him the viral video. When he said “even my wife,” he turned to the girl and joked, “Sorry! Earmuffs!”
