The car seat maker Britax has recalled more than 200,000 seats for children due to an issue that could cause the seats’ shoulder straps to loosen.
The recall, which includes the company’s Advocate, Boulevard and Marathon Clicktight products, can cause the harness adjuster buttons on the seats to stick, leading to potentially loose shoulder straps. No injuries have been reported due to the issue thus far, the company said.
The recall affects seats made between Aug. 1, 2014 and July 29, 2015. Affected customers will be notified by Britax and mailed lubricant that can be applied to the malfunctioning button to fix the problem.
