Ever since the Rachel Dolezal story started making headlines, people have been pointing out that Saturday Night Live alum Maya Rudolph would be perfect for the role of Rachel .
Sadly, SNL has been on hiatus since last month, and even more sadly, Maya Rudolph hasn’t been on the show since 2007. However, she stopped by Late Night With Seth Meyers Monday, where she gave us a little taste of her best Dolezal impression.
“When you leave SNL , sometimes things will happen in the news and people will say, ‘oh my God, it’s such a shame that you’re not there,'” Meyers said. “You have to have been getting this a lot lately.”
Rudolph agreed that that’s been happening to her pretty much every day — and then threw on a wig and made some comedic magic happen.
