Netflix Will Help Parents Trick Kids Into Going to Bed Early on New Year’s Eve

1 minute read

Netflix is making it easier for parents to get their kids to go to bed early on New Year’s Eve this year.

The streaming service has launched an on-demand, three-minute New Year’s Eve countdown hosted by King Julien from Netflix’s All Hail King Julien series, CNNMoney reports. The animated Netflix show, which stars characters from the film Madagascar, will let families experience New Year’s Eve without staying up too late — families can start the program whenever they choose, be it 8 p.m. or 11:57 p.m.

“Move over, Ryan Seacrest, I’ve got my very own on-demand countdown party on Netflix,” King Julien “said” in a Netflix statement.

All Hail King Julien, which launched Dec. 19, is one of the over 70 kids shows offered by Netflix, which hopes to build a loyal customer base in the younger demographic.
