The below video begins innocently enough: A Magic: The Gathering superfan wearing blue protective gloves carefully opens up an old Alpha pack of cards, flipping through the deck until he gets to the promised “rare” card at the bottom. He did not expect, however, to find the beloved Alpha Black Lotus — which went for $27,302 on eBay last year, Yahoo reports.
Your Beanie Babies from 1993 are worth basically nothing. A rare Magic: The Gathering card from 1993, on the other hand, can bring in almost $30,000.
“Oh my God, I did it!,” he says. “Holy mackerel, it’s right there!”
Thank goodness he was wearing those gloves.
