Almost every year, Vice President Joe Biden hosts a first-day-of-summer party with reporters, bouncy castles and a whole lot of kids. There’s face painting, lounging on the lawn, and super soaker battles that the Vice President does not shy away from.
In fact, Biden seems more enthusiastic than many of the kids and reporters he’s super-soaking.
The party at the Naval Observatory has included guests like then-White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, CNN’s Wolf Blitzer and Candy Crowley, MSNBC’s Chris Matthews and Rachel Maddow among others, Politico reported last year.
