It turns out a goody-goody high school science teacher isn’t the most unlikely suspect for leading a drug operation. Police suspect that a 64-year-old man was running a meth lab out of his Fresno, Calif. retirement community.
Robert Short was arrested Saturday night after police found four ounces of meth in his car following a routine traffic stop. When they went to his home in the California League-Fresno Village, a community for senior citizens, they found half a pound of meth, heroin, and materials to make a meth lab including baggies and scales. The cost of the drugs was approximately $1,700.
“Just shocking someone that age would do that, but actually a perfect place to do it, right?” police Lt. Joe Gomez told a local ABC affiliate. “Retirement village, who would suspect it going on there?”
Although Gomez should give the seniors some credit — after all, data has shown they know how to have a good time.
