The country singer will join Kesha and Ludacris in a new singing competition premiering in June that lets viewers vote in real-time

The new ABC talent competition Rising Star has tapped Brad Paisley to join Kesha and Ludacris as “experts” on the show.

Rising Star will premiere on June 22 with Josh Groban as the host. It’s the first interactive music competition: viewers can vote through an app to determine the winner each episode. The results will show up in real time, and singers will be able to see how they are doing as they perform.

“I think being honest is a key thing, but finding a funny way to say things would be good,” Paisley told People. “Humor fixes anything. I like to laugh at anything that’s going on so I’ll probably be doing that to my own fault. I’ll probably be sticking my foot in my mouth here and there.”
