In 2007, André Aciman published the queer love story Call Me By Your Name, in which he portrayed the budding romance between 17-year-old Elio and 24-year-old Oliver, a student of Elio’s father who stays with the family one summer in the Italian countryside. A decade later, the book became a celebrated film nominated for the Best Picture Oscar. And this year, Aciman finally continued the story with a sequel. Find Me initially focuses on the new longings of Elio’s father Samuel (moviegoers will remember Michael Stuhlbarg’s stirring portrayal of him from the film). But eventually it turns to Elio and Oliver, 15 years later, finally showing readers what becomes of the beloved duo.
