Jessica Alcantara and Laura Petty

Alcantara is a Senior Staff Attorney at Advancement Project where she supports Black and Latine communities on issues of the school-to-prison pipeline and school closures, with the goal of increasing students’ access to quality, sustainable, and police free community schools. Petty is a Law Fellow and Staff Attorney at Advancement Project. She joined in 2023 to support the emerging crisis of public school closures in Black and Latine communities
