Amanda Freeman and Lisa Dodson

Freeman is an associate professor of sociology at the University of Hartford and a writer and researcher of motherhood and work. Dodson is a research professor emerita, focusing on the lives of working poor mothers for more than forty years. They co-authored Getting Me Cheap: How Low-wage Work Traps Women and Girls in Poverty and Dodson's previous books include The Moral Underground and Don’t Call Us Out of Name
