Wilson Rothman started writing about technology for TIME and its tech spinoff TIME Digital in 2000. Though his beat is technology, Rothman was nevertheless one of the first TIME reporters to file interviews of World Trade Center disaster witnesses on Sept. 11th, 2001.
When Time Digital became On Magazine, then met its untimely demise in 2001, Rothman began contributing stories to other publications including Readers Digest, the Chicago Tribune and The New York Times, where his stories are still regularly published.
Rothman still writes regularly for TIME’s Your Time and Global Business sections, and also currently contributes feature stories to Money Magazine and This Old House Magazine, both published by Time Inc.
TIME.com launched Rothman’s column, Gadget of the Week, in September 2002, and it has run without interruption ever since, with new product reviews every Wednesday.
