In the two years since Canada’s last general election, not much has happened to jar political convictions. Thus the latest Gallup poll shows just about what might be expected: if a federal election were held in Canada this month, Liberals would get 43% of the total vote (up 2% since the 1945 election), Progressive Conservatives 26% (down 3%), CCF 16% (up 1%), minor parties 15%.
