Republic Steel announced last week a new pricing system that will save an estimated $1,000,000 yearly in bookkeeping costs. Instead of figuring shipping costs from the mill to each individual point, the company will now use a single point in each of 1,481 U.S. counties as a base point, quote the same price to all customers in the county.
