WALL STREET: Hot Seats

The current stockmarket boom has furnished a plushy cushion for seats on the New York Stock Exchange. Last week, an exchange membership sold for $75,000, up $3,000 in three weeks. The price of seats has almost doubled in a year, is now the highest since November 1938 ($85,000).
