A St. Louis factory last week announced a new process for making certain airplane parts of paper. In the McDonnell Aircraft Corp., layers of paper are bound together with plastic, formed into wing tips, rudders, etc. Company officials boasted that an experimentally produced wing tip was stronger and lighter than one made of aluminum.
