Russia’s top ultranationalist spent part of his week abroad — sort of:
Sunday: In a rambling interview with a 60 Minutes reporter, said that “it’s better if Jewish people will live together in Israel” and denied ever having worked for the KGB . . . Monday: Left Ljubljana, capital of Slovenia, after being forced to stay overnight in an airport lounge when officials denied him entry to the country. (In January he had been asked to leave Slovenia after reports that his entourage had damaged property at a resort while drinking.) . . . Friday: Refused to meet with former U.S. President Richard Nixon, saying the U.S. nearly “impeached Nixon and now Russia is impeaching him too.”
