What with all that job security, royals haven’t typically made the most assiduous of scholars. But PRINCE WILLIAM–bless his little polo-playing, heir-apparent heart–seems to have actually studied his way through college. The geography major, 23, graduated from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland with second highest honors, the best grades the British royal family has ever achieved. “I’m going out into the big, wide world–not just essays now,” the prince said (clumsily but sweetly) at his commencement. The House of Windsor’s brightest light will, for his first solo royal task, accompany a rugby team to New Zealand. Who said the monarchy was irrelevant?
