Art: Rodin in Philadelphia

On the first anniversary of the death of Jules E, Mastbaum, wealthy cinema theatre proprietor, French Government officials and noted citizens of Philadelphia last week watched a hole being made in the ground. This hole was the beginning of a museum, paid for by the wealth of Mr. Mastbaum, to house works of null Auguste Rodin (1840-1917). In it will be assembled the finest U. S. collection of his works. Outside and in front of it will be gardens and a statue, not of Mr. Mastbaum, but of The Thinker, Sculptor Rodin’s most famed work.
