Kenneth Turpin wriggled, got away, applied his thighs to William Ledbetter’s head. Ledbetter wriggled, got away. These tactics (called by wrestlers the “head scissors”) continued. Soon Kenneth Turpin dropped to the canvas. Inert, he was rushed to the hospital. Doctors found a broken neck. Turpin died.
