Price of a New York Stock Exchange seat is like Jack-the-Giant-Killer’s bean stalk—steadily it climbs higher. Last week it was, for a few hours, $215,000. Then William H. Bade, 29, onetime Princeton baseball captain, paint dealer, appeared; paid $217,000. Stockbroker Edward A. Pierce who sold that seat must pay approximately $4,000 New York State tax, about $20,000 Federal tax.
