We Cast FOX’s Grease So It Doesn’t Have To

Fox just announced it’s airing a live musical production of Grease next year, because Fox is hopelessly devoted to musical theater (and to the big bucks brought in by NBC’s Sound of Music Live). And with all the young talent on Glee, Fox picked the perfect show to highlight the actors they already have.

No cast is attached yet, but here’s our dream lineup at Rydell High:

Sandy:

Obvious choice: Taylor Swift

We want: Amanda Seyfried or Zendaya

Anyone but: Carly Ray Jepsen

Danny:

Obvious choice: Zac Ephron

We want: Darren Criss of Glee

Anyone but: Justin Bieber

Rizzo:

Obvious choice: Rihanna

We want: Rebel Wilson

Anyone but: Miley Cyrus

Kenickie:

Obvious choice: Harry Styles

We want: Dean Geyer of Glee

Anyone but: Chris Brown

We’ve got the rest of the cast nailed down, too. Samantha Barks of Les Miserables should play Marty, Joan Cusack should play Principle McGee and Pharrell should play the Teen Angel who sings “Beauty School Dropout.”
