My dad remains one of the most important advisers in my life — he has always given me solid guidance when I need it (never unsolicited) and his values are ones I have tried to emulate in my own life. I love watching my own toddler daughter begin to admire my husband in this way. Both men recognize the importance of empowering women, and that means raising their daughters with that idea in mind.
