Why Bella Hadid Stays Away From Red Lipstick

Bella Hadid is sharing her beauty secrets.

In an interview with Elle.com, the new face of Dior Makeup opened up about her favorite beauty products. When it comes to her going-out beauty look, the supermodel prefers to keep it natural — but not for the reason you may expect.

“There’s girls like you that can rock a red lip and kill it (I can’t) so when I go out I would rather be natural so that nothing can smear, I can’t mess it up,” she said.

The supermodel also said that her career can take a toll on her skin. “It’s a lot of makeup and changing so my skin looks really bad,” she shared. To keep her skin glowing, the supermodel unsurprisingly turns to the beauty brand she fronts: she washes her face with Dior Homme face wash and then uses Dior’s Hydra Life moisturizer and the brand’s masks.

As for her famous dark tresses, the model says she’s not going back to her natural blonde hair anytime soon. “People freaked out when I was blonde,” she said. “I think it’s because I looked very similar to my sister.”
