Bernie Sanders’ impact on politics and pop culture is still going strong. Even thought the Vermont senator and former Democratic candidate was unsuccessful in his bid to lead the free world, his legions of fans are still hopelessly devoted. So much so, that his campaign logo recently inspired an entire fashion collection.
CNN’s Jake Tapper asked Sanders what he thought of the Fall 2017 collection. “I want to ask you, as a closing question, about something that is rather frivolous,” Tapper said. He pulled up pictures of the clothing: “Did you ever think that you would become a fashion icon?”
Sanders laughed, and said, “No, not quite, Jake. I think of my many attributes, being a great dresser or a fashion maven is not one of them.”
