Lady Gaga speaks onstage at the Pepsi Zero Sugar Super Bowl LI Halftime Show Press Conference, on Feb. 2, 2017 in Houston, Texas._ by [Jillian Ruffo / People](https://time.com/author/people/) ## Jillian Ruffo / People Contributor Feb 3, 2017 7:26 PM UTC by [Jillian Ruffo / People](https://time.com/author/people/) ## Jillian Ruffo / People Contributor Feb 3, 2017 7:26 PM UTC [Super Bowl](http://people.com/style/cute-outfits-for-super-bowl-sunday-from-supermodel-patriots-fans) Sunday is almost here, and while we’re busy [preparing our nail art](http://people.com/style/superbowl-nail-art-ideas/) and pots of chili in time for the biggest game of the year, Lady Gaga has her own elaborate getting-ready agenda in addition to [the 24/7 rehearsal](http://people.com/music/super-bowl-2017-beyonce-lady-gaga-performance-rumor/) she’s no doubt got underway. The star of the halftime show is already working on her glam — and she’s letting the world in on it. Gaga posted an Instagram video of her [eye mask-clad](http://people.com/style/we-tried-it-sheet-masks/) (but notably shirt-free) prep on Thursday, writing “Anyone that’s looking for a sneak peek of the Halftime show, here it is. getting ready for press conference w hairography assistant @fredericaspiras”. Though we appreciate her velvet-bra clad moves to Don Henley’s “Dirty Laundry,” we have a feeling we’ll be seeing something slightly different come Sunday night – there’s guaranteed to be more sparkle and perhaps a _slightly_ more high-tech wind machine. And her beauty routine isn’t the only way she’s prepping for the big event. The singer has been getting into the spirit with NFL-themed outfits, like the gray v-neck NFL t-shirt [she’s been wearing](https://www.instagram.com/p/BPwVXW%5FBHbb/?taken-by=ladygaga&hl=en) for rehearsals, or the red, white and blue outfit that she wore for a press conference Thursday. (Is she declaring [her alliance to the Patriots](http://people.com/sports/lady-gagas-super-bowl-halftime-show-stats-are-patriots-or-falcons-fans-bigger-little-monsters/)?) So while we’ll have to wait and see what’s in store for her performance – including [a rumored cameo](http://people.com/music/super-bowl-2017-beyonce-lady-gaga-performance-rumor/) from [the pregnant-with-twins Queen Bey](http://people.com/babies/beyonce-pregnant-twins-twitter-reacts/) – one thing’s for sure: her beauty and fashion looks will be on point. _This_ [_article_](http://people.com/style/lady-gaga-super-bowl-prep-photos/) _originally appeared on_ [_People.com_](http://people.com) ## Transcript [ APPLAUSE ] Well I don't know if I will succeed at unifying America, you'll have to ask America when it's over. But the only statements that I will be making during the half time show are the ones that I have been consistently making throughout my career. I believe in a passion for inclusion. I believe in the spirit of equality and the spirit of this country as one of love and compassion and kindness. So my performance will uphold those philosophies. What you're watching at the half time show it's not easy. And I say that because I want young people at home who are watching, when they see it, if you have a dream to be something big you should go for it, but you got to give it everything you got. You got to wake up and you got to eat it, breathe it, see it, every second of the day And if you do that, you might be lucky enough one day to wake up and be playing in the half time show. That kid that couldn't get a seat at the cool kid's table and that kid that was kicked out of the house because his mom and dad didn't accept him for who he was That kid's gonna have the stage for 13 minutes. ```json [{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"NewsArticle","@id":"https://time.com/4659961/lady-gaga-super-bowl-routine/","mainEntityOfPage":{"@type":"WebPage","@id":"https://time.com/4659961/lady-gaga-super-bowl-routine/"},"headline":"What Lady Gaga's Super Bowl Beauty Routine Looks Like","datePublished":"2017-02-03T19:26:38.000Z","dateModified":"2026-10-07T07:15:40.959Z","description":"She posted a teaser on Instagram","url":"https://time.com/4659961/lady-gaga-super-bowl-routine/","keywords":["motto"],"thumbnailUrl":"https://static.time.com/v3/assets/bltea6093859af6183b/blt293726fac266d011/6988b8c097cdff14b06af5fa/lady-gaga-super-bowl-halftime-show.jpg?branch=production&width=1200&quality=75&auto=webp&crop=1200:675&height=675","author":[{"@type":"Person","name":"Jillian Ruffo / People"}],"articleSection":"","image":[{"@type":"ImageObject","url":"https://static.time.com/v3/assets/bltea6093859af6183b/blt293726fac266d011/6988b8c097cdff14b06af5fa/lady-gaga-super-bowl-halftime-show.jpg?branch=production&width=1200&quality=75&auto=webp&crop=1200:675&height=675","width":1200,"height":675,"headline":"Pepsi Zero Sugar Super Bowl LI Halftime Show Press Conference","caption":"Pepsi Zero Sugar Super Bowl LI Halftime Show Press Conference","creditText":"Jeff Kravitz—FilmMagic","representativeOfPage":true}],"publisher":{"@type":"Organization","name":"Time","url":"https://time.com/","logo":{"@type":"ImageObject","url":"https://time.com/images/logo.png","width":528,"height":156},"foundingDate":"March 3, 1923","sameAs":["https://www.facebook.com/time","https://www.instagram.com/time/?hl=en","https://twitter.com/time","https://www.pinterest.com/timemagazine"]}},{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"BreadcrumbList","itemListElement":[{"@type":"ListItem","position":1,"item":{"@id":"/tag/motto/","name":"motto"}},{"@type":"ListItem","position":2,"item":{"@id":"https://time.com/4659961/lady-gaga-super-bowl-routine/","name":"What Lady Gaga's Super Bowl Beauty Routine Looks Like"}}]},{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"VideoObject","name":"Lady Gaga on Super Bowl LI Halftime Show","description":"Lady Gaga speaks onstage at the Pepsi Zero Sugar Super Bowl LI Halftime Show Press Conference, on Feb. 2, 2017 in Houston, Texas.","thumbnailUrl":"https://cdn.jwplayer.com/v2/media/VInkYA90/poster.jpg?width=720","uploadDate":"2017-02-03T20:07:14.000Z","contentUrl":"https://cdn.jwplayer.com/manifests/VInkYA90.m3u8","embedUrl":"https://time.com/4659961/lady-gaga-super-bowl-routine/","duration":"PT1M23S","potentialAction":{"@type":"SeekToAction","target":"https://time.com/4659961/lady-gaga-super-bowl-routine/?jw_start={seek_to_second_number}","startOffset-input":"required name=seek_to_second_number"}}] ```
