See the Adorable Way Kate Beckinsale Celebrated Her Daughter’s College Acceptance

Kate Beckinsale and Michael Sheen are proud parents to a soon-to-be college student!

The Love & Friendship actress, 43, gushed about her daughter Lily getting accepted into college Thursday on Instagram, sharing the touching moment when she and Sheen, 47, celebrated.

“The appropriate fatherly response when you found out your girl got into college: burst into tears drop everything rush over and pick up everyone even remotely involved,” Beckinsale captioned the split photo of the friendly exes bear hugging and the Passengers actor lifting up their 17-year-old.

“@lily_beckinsale we are so unbelievably proud of you. Fly fly fly,” the mother of one concluded her post along with several red heart emojis.

Beckinsale and Sheen dated from 1995 until 2003, during which they welcomed their first child, Lily, in January 1999.

The former couple is so friendly that Beckinsale is on great terms with Sheen’s current girlfriend Sarah Silverman. “I love her. I love her. I love her,” the Underworld star said of Silverman, 46, in May. “I am so glad Michael found her so I don’t have to spend the rest of my life looking for her!”
