Pippa Middleton is spreading holiday cheer — and heart-healthy recipes.
Princess Kate’s sister made a surprise appearance (along with her gorgeous engagement ring!) at an afternoon tea on Monday with members of a heart support group from the British Heart Foundation, where they talked and munched on recipes from her new cookbook, Heartfelt.
Members of the group had experienced their own challenges with heart health, including heart attacks and bypass surgeries. Middleton, 33, is an ambassador for the British Heart Foundation.
“I had such a wonderful afternoon,” said Eileen Hunt, a member of one of the BHF’s Heart Support Groups. “I’d heard about the new cookbook but hadn’t had a chance to take a look at it yet. Having Pippa there and getting to sample some of the tasty dishes was such a wonderful surprise and a lovely treat.”
The engaged royal sibling (whose wedding is set for May 20, 2017!) said that she enjoyed having the opportunity to share the dishes with the people who could use them the most.
“It was wonderful to see first-hand the difference heart support groups make to people’s lives, and it was a pleasure to share some of the dishes from Heartfelt with the group,” she said.
