Ever since Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life debuted on Netflix, longtime fans and newcomers to the franchise have been abuzz about Rory, Lorelai, and the whole town of Stars Hollow.
Some of the series’ characters are more beloved than others, however, which Alexis Bledel revealed when she appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to talk about the Netflix revival with the late night funnyman.
Fallon, who recently started watching the show, revealed that he was upset with the pivotal plot twist in Rory Gilmore’s love life in the fourth season of the show, before also revealing that he was “Team Jess” — referring, of course, to Rory’s bad boy (and best) ex-boyfriend. He then told Bledel that besides Rory, his favorite characters on the show were Luke, Kirk, and Rory’s inimitable rival-turned-bestie Paris Geller. Bledel chimed in with her own.
“I think Caesar is awesome,” she said referring to the long suffering cook at Luke’s Diner. “He’s underrated, he’s amazing.”
Bledel also revealed that she loves the double trouble duo of Rory’s neighbor Babette and Stars Hollow’s resident dance teacher Miss Patty.
“They were on All in the Family together and every time they would come to set and sing show tunes, and it was such a raucous day on set every day they were there, so I have to appreciate them.”
Her final favorite character? The town’s quirky everyman, Kirk.
