When avid cook and kitchen organizer extraordinaire Khloé Kardashian is in charge of the Thanksgiving menu, you can expect it will be nothing short of amazing. But there’s one dish she’s not so sure will be a slam dunk.
“I’ve never made stuffing before but someone asked about it, which means now I have to make it!” the reality star wrote in an entry on her website titled “What I’m Afraid to Cook.” She continues: “I just don’t really get stuffing. I mean why would I eat wet, stale bread? LOL. All of the recipes I Googled have bacon in them though so, since I don’t eat pork, I’m going to have to do some tweaks. So I don’t know how it’s going to turn out!”
On Monday, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star announced on her app that she will be hosting Turkey Day in Ohio (likely with her new boyfriend, NBA player Tristan Thompson), and revealed the holiday menu her guests will be enjoying.
“I’ll be in Cleveland this year but I’m still hosting my favorite holiday dinner,” she wrote. “I don’t normally ask anyone to bring anything so I’m making everything on the menu except the chicken wings.” The lengthy list of foods includes traditional dishes like turkey, sweet potato soufflé, green bean casserole, corn bread loaves, creamed corn, gravy, cranberry sauce, and desserts, among comforting sides like barbecue chicken wings, mac ‘n cheese and asparagus with garlic and cheese.
“I usually bake all of the desserts and breads the day before and then I cook the rest of the food the day of to have time for everything,” said Kardashian. Last year, the reality star was accused of taking credit for baking store-bought pies from scratch. In a fiery Twitter rant (complete with very NSFW language) following the controversy, the reality star called out her haters for being “petty” and “savage.”
