
After nine years off the air, the ladies of Stars Hollow are returning to television, this time on Netflix in four 90-minute episodes called Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. The show first introduced 32-year-old mother Lorelai Gilmore and her ambitious 16-year old daughter Rory when it premiered in 2000. In the new episodes, the Gilmore girls have grown into Gilmore women and have to deal with adult problems. Yale grad Rory realizes at 32 that her meticulously planned life as a journalist hasn’t turned out the way she planned—and must contend with appearances by all three of her exes. Lorelai considers a major change in her personal life. And Lorelai’s mother, Emily, copes with the loss of her husband Richard.
