There’s a bonus video of Jimmy Kimmel’s six-year November tradition “I Told My Kids I Ate All Their Halloween Candy.”
Jimmy Kimmel Live! aired even more excellent footage of crushed hopes during Thursday’s episode. As always, parents pretend they betrayed their own children by gobbling up all their trick-or-treating loot, and the reactions to the emptied pumpkin pails are hilarious and occasionally touching.
Kimmel’s second innocence destroying short film of the year has even more drama. This time, an adult actually snatches candy from a baby, out of her mouth to be exact. But the real star is another boy who is so devastated that he races out of the house. Some of the kids were admirably mature about the news. The speechless child who finally told his mother “I’m just trying to calm down,” deserves an extra special Halloween treat for self-soothing.
